I am very sorry for the delay, but now it is time for yet another pool review: Splash Country Water Park!
Splash Country Water Park
Price: +
8-10 $ A very reasonable price for a small pool. It is fun for a few hours, but the only thing is, the slides and lazy river are always very crowded, and itis a little far away from where I live, (Bartlett), but I think you really get your money's worth here.
Attractions: o
This is the bad part about this pool. I gave it an o for having a lazy river, but that was about it. For a small pool, it gets very crowded, very quick. This is the only place I have seen that has a designated line for a lazy river, which is both good and bad at the same time, for it shows just how many people they expect to come. The slides are ok but not great, and this place lacks any drop slides or diving boards. So overall, not the place to go if your a thrill seeker.
General Swimming: o
Now, for a 'water park' this place has ok swimming. It has a nice, large pool, depths from 0-5 feet, and 2 nice lap lanes, and plenty of room to swim. It does get crowded as well, but it has enough room for everyone. A word of warning, though: the bottom of the pool is very rough, especially near the zero-depth entry, and I actually scraped my knuckles on the ground. Be careful.
Facilities: o
Fine, nothingspecial. Lockers, changing rooms showers, toilets. The snack stand has the usual, ice cream hot dogs, hamburgers. Nothing new, but everything is ok. The only thing is they only have one loudspeaker in the park. On a crowded day, you can never hear anything they say, which is somewhat problematic.
Overall Rating: +
This is a lazy day pool; for a day you just want to sit in a pool and swim. As my mom said, it is a nice 9$ pool. Unfortunately, it is a little far away from us, but for those in aurora and St. Charles, it is a nice day off.
